"Looking back at my work it surprises me how much time has gone by since I first began painting. The collections officially started in the late seventies when, through my daughter Jennifer, I was fortunate to meet, Lawrence Chang, an amazing, elderly gentleman, who painted in the classical Chinese style. I studied with him for four years and his influence is evident in a lot of my artwork even the most recent almost graphic style characters painted with acrylic on canvas.

It’s been an incredibly diverse journey so far and I wonder where inspiration is leading me next. I’m excited to be able to share my road with you and I wish that in some way you too may be inspired." - Jean-Ann Robinson

SPCA CHARLIE'S

The SPCA's Charlie's Program was started about 10 years ago when a spay/neuter outreach volunteer working in the Down Town East Side commented about how many hungry pets there were. The name of the program references a dog whose owner intentionally starved him to the point of death. The SPCA rescued him but in spite of a brave heart and intensive treatment Charlie deteriorated and died. His memory and spirit live on in this program.

Mission Possible heard about Charlie's and opened their doors and allowed the vision to become a reality. SPCA Behaviour and Welfare employee, Kim Monteith, supervises the program donating her time as a volunteer.Charlie's offers cat/dog food and kitty litter, free vet clinics and services assisting on average 400 people and their pets/month with food and 20 pets/clinic.
